For tall-housecat calls, I ask the caller for a 10‑second side video of the animal walking past a trash bin or car for scale — tail carriage (upright vs low/stubby) and ear proportion usually sort housecat vs bobcat/serval fast. Not foolproof if the cat’s stressed, so I also request one track photo next to a car key for size; @Marta_ACO, are you seeing more Savannahs after those exotic-pet ads?

We cut retakes by setting the software to “auto-advance” through a custom FMX sequence and adding side-specific prompts like “molar: angle +10°,” so the sensor tech isn’t guessing. Foam cushions on the holders helped too, but if a patient’s gaggy the auto-advance can rush you — keep the manual override handy. It felt like going from herding cats to following a short checklist.
