Just last week, I was called to a neighborhood where a raccoon snuck into a backyard and refused to leave. The family’s dog was barking like crazy, and the raccoon just sat there, looking like it belonged. I had to carefully shoo it away while the family laughed about their new ‘pet’. It’s always the unexpected moments that keep this job entertaining.
That’s hilarious! I had a similar case where a raccoon thought it was a cat and curled up in a sunbeam. Just goes to show, nature doesn’t always stick to the script! Have you seen this happen more often with other animals?
I’ve had a raccoon sneak in during a pet playdate too! They sure do have personalities. Ever tried using a noise maker to shoo them away?

Isn’t it funny how they act like they own the place? I once had to play referee between a raccoon and a golden retriever; both were convinced they were the top dog! @karl_89, ever seen them team up to steal snacks?
I totally get how important checklists are. In our practice, we’ve found using an integrated software system really helps with documenting and tracking changes over time. Have you or @mitchell79 had a chance to try any solutions that combine compliance with daily operations?
