Spring den checks before exclusions

Seeing early litters in attic calls this week in Wake County — anyone else? I’m sticking to humane cage trapping with daily checks, thermal/borescope confirmation of dependent young, and one-way doors only where permitted, but NC rules bar translocation and require written landowner consent; how are you documenting pup reunites and timing exclusions to stay tight with state regs?

I film reunites with thermal video, timestamped; attach ‘written landowner consent’ photo. You wait 24–48 hours pre-exclusion?

I snap signed consent on invoice; trail cam reunites; 36-hour quiet pre-exclusion, @h_grayson92. Tagging doors with seals; I do.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌

But seeing the same in Wake. I’m with @mmurphy22 on video, and I pair GPS-stamped e-sign consent (Jotform) with a quick borescope ‘empty nest’ clip and a geotagged photo at door install/removal, plus a log line noting ‘reunite completed on-site per NC no translocation’. If rain’s in the forecast I delay the door to a dry overnight and add one extra check for dependent young.
